Just been refurbished with a reasonably priced but good quality menu and a good choice of ales.
The food was great, and very good value. Service was also good, with friendly and approachable staff. This is a traditional Pub in a historic harbour town, highly recommended.
Nice refit. Barman is from Barcelona i think. Talk slowly and he is fine. Good pub
Such a lovely experience, not too rushed or feeling like jumping away like other bars, the food is warmly and freshly properly made. It's all taken out of its packet on the day and cooked very frechly and warmly which gives the food a love fantastic delicious taste. So if you are looking for a good time out and relaxation then the Hanover is where you will find it. You will not find any better, warmer or freshly made food anywhere else in Harwich.
Had a lovely meal, l had the scampi, plenty of them, chips and salad, all very nicely presented. Nice old pub, rustic style. The staff were very attentive , can't fault the food, well worth a visit . ..
