Quite possibly our favourite place to eat, drink and stay over! Staff always friendly and love the atmosphere and the character of the building/decor...not expensive really - just wish we could afford to go more often!

Highly recommend the Steak Night. Huge juicy pieces of meat cooked on a charcoal BBQ with a sauce your choice. Seriously good. Beer is excellent and service is friendly and attentive.
We had a steak night dinner for 12 booked but 3 more turned up so we all budged up and the Alma staff didn't bat an eyelid. Great dinner and dessert and good wine. We also had 5 rooms and the rooms were very clean and well decorate, the beds were comfortable and ppanty of hot water. Breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel for a very long time and the tea and coffee just kept coming. Checkout smiles all round. We will be back again.
If you don't have a great night out in The Alma then I am afraid all hope is lost! Awesome ambience, wonderful food and great service...... And the beers pretty good too!
