Best value tourist attraction in Essex.

Nice boat look around on tony and the other stuff to are nice and one oeros sadly he not around but keep it going

I get the impression that they cannot advertise that the ship was used in the film 'The Boat That Rocked'. It is full of music memorabilia but there is very little to guide you and tell the story of pirate radio. There's also nothing about its role a a light vessel. It's still a fun visit with freedom to explore many areas if the ship . . . .

Its a lightship and you can clamber about it and explore. Some historical references. Much better than looking at them moored in the river

Several bits of history here. There's the fact that so much of the original manned lightship is still intact, showing something of what sea-level was like. There's also the pirate radio memorabilia. Then there's what every lightship needs - a garden. I kid you not. A great piece of double recent histories.
