Good food didn't have to wait too long, fish cooked to order so nice and fresh, two large kebabs very nice indeed

People that know me know that I value good customer service and understand the value of feedback. What have just experienced was appalling! After many years of ordering takeaway from Fry Fish & Grill in tollgate I've noticed the quality has been going down hill lately. Tonight was supposed to be a treat for my wife's birthday. Cod & chips x2, Donna meat & chips, plain burger. The fish was flavorless and soggy, the chips were soggy and cold, the donna meat was dry cold, the burger was cold and swimming in tomato sauce. I thought I'd call and give feedback. Well! That was a mistake. It's not like I wanted a refund, although I probably deserved one! I was told that I was wrong and that everything was cooked fresh. He actually said "I don't agree with you". Thanks for ruining a birthday treat. AVOID FRY FISH & GRILL. Perhaps they'd like me to train them in customer service? That's them never getting my custom ever again.
This place was good until early this year when they went off just eat. The food is now sub standard and expensive for the quality you get. I'd rather go to the place in town where it's more expensive but the quality is better. The doner meat is kinda gritty. As I say, Not what it was.
